The Same Rain That Falls On Me

It’s the hottest day of the year and Alice is travelling home to say an untimely goodbye. One that will leave a hole in her life forever.

The Same Rain That Falls On Me is a powerful and witty monologue about family, grief, and finding hope in the face of overwhelming uncertainty. Don’t miss this intimate and delicately written piece directed by Jay Seldon and ‘superbly performed’ (Theatre Weekly), balancing dark humour and touching pathos in equal measure.

First performed at York Theatre Royal as part of the 2019 TakeOver Festival, The Same Rain That Falls On Me moved to an online format in January 2021 for Online@theSpaceUK Season 2, receiving glowing 4 star reviews from The Stage, Theatre Weekly and the British Theatre Guide.

Autumn Theatre is a fledgling theatre company founded by recent York University theatre graduates with a shared passion for new work. The Same Rain That Falls On Me is their first touring production. It received the Pick of the Bedford Fringe award in July this year.
